YOUR FIRST SESSION

What to Expect

01

Walkthrough

We talk through your goals, schedule, and previous training experience.
02

Baseline Movement Check

A simple, low-intensity assessment — no pressure and no expectation that you already know the exercises.
03

First Light Session

The full 55-minute session is scaled to your current ability, not a generic template or fitness test.
THE TRAINING SPACE

A Limited-Access Place to Learn

Beginner sessions take place at ENDGAME in Wynwood, using real equipment in a limited-access environment where waiting for machines is less likely than in a typical high-volume gym.

LEARNING PROCESS

How Beginner Training Builds Confidence

Confidence comes from understanding what to do and repeating it successfully—not from pretending the gym is never confusing.

Learn the Setup Before the Load

Early sessions cover how to adjust equipment, choose an appropriate starting load, organize a set, and understand the purpose of the exercise. Technique cues stay focused so you can remember and apply them on the next repetition.

The goal is not to introduce as many exercises as possible. It is to build a small group of movements you can perform consistently before adding complexity.

Use a Program That Can Progress

Your training plan records exercises, sets, repetitions, and loads. That history shows when the same work is becoming more controlled and when a progression is appropriate.

You are not compared with another client’s starting point. Changes are based on your own recorded sessions, current capacity, and the goal established during the first-session evaluation.

Build Consistency Outside the Session

Training works best when appointments are kept and the habits surrounding the goal are moving in the same direction. For fat loss or muscle gain, that includes being willing to improve nutrition habits rather than expecting the workout to compensate for everything outside the gym.

You do not need immediate perfection. You do need realistic expectations and enough consistency for the program to generate information that can be used.

QUESTIONS

Beginners — FAQ

Do I need any experience to start?

No. Programming is adapted to your current ability from session one.

I already train — is this page still for me?

If you already train confidently and just want structured strength programming, see general Miami personal training instead. This page is written specifically for people newer to coaching.

Will the plan be adjusted to my ability?

Yes — that’s the point of the initial assessment, and programming keeps adjusting as you progress.

What if I have pain or a previous injury?

Mention it during the consultation. Personal training does not diagnose or treat injuries; you may need guidance or clearance from an appropriate licensed healthcare professional before training.
